Matthew Adendorff is the CEO at Fusion Labs. He has a multidisciplinary background in corporate innovation management, human centered-design and new venture creation.
His work with many top-tier clients across the globe has involved shepherding the creation of innovation strategies to enable their next disruptive growth engine, with a focus on new venture creation.
Prior to his time at Fusion Labs, Matthew has held several leadership positions at innovative companies across South Africa. Most notably, he was part of a team that co-founded Innovationswitch.com (now Futureworld.org), which he helped grow into a notable challenger innovation agency. Prior to that he worked as head of innovation for a global telematics business - Tracker, and successfully led a number of new products and ventures to market.
Matt serves as a non-executive director of a youth mental health organisation, batyr and also serves as chairman at Thinklytic, a new JV company with UNSW’s Future Minds lab.

Patrick is the founder and soul of Fusion Labs. His relentless enthusiasm for scalable innovation has positively changed the lives of millions of people, created new markets and significant revenue streams. He has advised senior executives in disruptive innovation in over 15 countries and has led / co-founded over 20 startups.
Patrick’s biggest claim-to-fame is leading the incubation of the world's second fastest and second largest mobile banking project, which took on 10 million new customers in its first 18 months and sold to Alibaba at a valuation of $575m.
Patrick is the relentless learner: he has studied strategy and innovation in person at London Business School, Harvard, Berkeley, Stanford and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, with a online certificate in Fintech from MIT thrown in for good measure.

Rob McCreery is a Director at Fusion Labs. Rob heads-up the Fusion Labs consulting team. He is a skilled communicator and strategist with experience working with startups, businesses and governments. He leverages these skills to advise top-tier clients on strategic approaches to scaling innovation.
Rob has led new ventures across Australia, Asia and the UK in a variety of sectors including renewable energy, education, media and government. He has been an advisor to 30+ startups on topics such as finding product-market fit, pitching, raising capital and expanding internationally. He believes that success is a result of a good team with a laser focus on real product validation in the market.
In addition to his role at Fusion Labs, Rob currently serves as a Director of Upstairs, a startup hub in regional NSW.

Megan has spent her entire career on the front line of diverse and pioneering businesses. She’s worked in both startups and alongside corporate venture teams for many ASX Top 100 companies, taking responsibility for the full product lifecycle while navigating the complexity of finding product-market fit and building the foundations for growth and scale.
The products and ventures she’s built span e-commerce, enterprise SaaS, loyalty and rewards, education and peer-to-peer marketplaces. Regardless of the industry, client or product she is passionate about a customer-led approach to developing products, building sustainable business models, and fostering ownership of the product vision and strategy across diverse teams for effective execution.
Her passion also extends to social enterprise, and she is currently a Director on Palmera’s board helping to increase the number of people with access to sustainable livelihoods in Sri Lanka.

Jon has a passion for the intersection of business and technology and enjoys building and leading software engineering teams.
His experience has spanned deep scientific R&D (Matrox) to co-founding a FinTech (Stake). Along the way he has advised on startups in industries ranging from PropTech and ConstructionTech to EdTech; from bootstrapped passion-projects to ASX100 backed ventures.
Jon cares deeply about his team, working side-by-side and one-on-one when necessary to help remove obstacles, provide support and mentorship, and maximize effectiveness to get things done.
Always curious, Jon is constantly looking for challenges and opportunities to revolutionize the way technology helps us communicate and build better products to streamline business.

Jack is the founder of Firetail robotics and our go-to for all things hard in hardware. He has military grade experience in deploying autonomous vehicles on land, sea and air.
He has served as a board member on Kirinari, a leading rural disability service provider, and is a founder of multiple start-ups including: Aeromatic unmanned, RemoteGIS, Timberline Helicopters, 36Tee and a platform to enable humanitarian projects to leverage blockchain.
Jack is also qualified as a Commercial Helicopter CPHL and Fixed Wing pilot, and has been involved in Aerial Agriculture and Aerial Survey since the early 90's.

Ian is an experienced executive with 30+ years of experience in a wide range of business and roles: from consultant through senior executive, CEO and Board member, from start-ups through to large corporates. He has an excellent track record as a change agent.
Ian has spent over 15 years in large corporates, mainly in media and telcos. Most recently as the Director of Telstra Media, looking after Telstra’s interest in Foxtel and advising on Telstra’s media interests. He has been CEO of a medium-sized educational publishing company. He has over 15 years of Board experience - large corporate, tech start-ups, not-for-profits. As a consultant, he has run large transformation and innovation programs for several large corporates.
Over the last 6 years he has focused increasingly on tech start-ups - and now has a portfolio of 14 investments, of which he is a Director of four.
Design Systems Lead
XD (UX Strategy)
Lincoln is one of those rare designers that sits at the intersection of design and technology. He applies these skills to prototype concepts at a strategic level that helps executive visualise their northstar vision.
His experience across the whole design function sees him helping UX/UI designers and Frontend Developers. To help guide design staff, he is creating the Fusion Labs Design system, which will be key to fast tracking future digital product designs.
Lincoln super power is his ability to think outside the box, and making UX a strategic activity.

Alice Brennan is a senior innovation consultant with a decade of diverse experience in roles that range from teaching coding, to aid work, to running her own tech startup. Her work has transverse day many cultural borders, including: England, Japan, Australia, China, Germany, Portugal and Tanzania.
For Fusion Labs, Alice uses her wide-ranging experience to mentor innovators, deliver engaging workshops, and build impactful products with and for clients. Her work has earned her a place on Forbes Asia’s 30 under 30 social entrepreneur list.
Alice is an Oxford trained anthropologist with an MSc in psychology, which has given her a scientific grounding in human behaviour and its cultural and psychological levers. She used this training in 2015 to found SettleIn, a tech startup which used the principles of goal setting and narrative therapy to improve mental health and case management services for Australian refugees. The work has since been taken on by software company Momentum Cloud, who now operate the product on behalf of SettleIn’s clients.

Juan Manuel is our creative lead. He moved to Australia from Spain, after completing his Masters in Advertising Communications and 3D Computer Generated Design. After years of work for global brands, he met the founder of Fusion Labs. Inspired by Patrick’s vision, Juan Manuel pivoted into User Experience and Visual Design.
Juan Manuel has worked across a spectrum of industries, solving design challenges for national banks, insurance companies and corporate agencies. His speciality is rapid prototyping: pulling together a clickable interface to test and validate interface design concepts in front of customers and internal stakeholders.

Kaoru is a creative entrepreneur, and one of the foremost experts in Australia on driving innovation with Japan.
Kaoru and her partners at Innovation Dojo have successfully built a cross-cultural innovation community in Japan and Australia. Her diverse career experience (GettyImages, Corbis and CSIRO) and MBA (AGSM) have given her a highly commercial understanding of how to engage meaningfully with large, complex organisations.
She’s passionate about new frontiers in smart cities and space, and helping large organisations connect with startups in Australia. Her mission is to create an environment where innovation and testing is encouraged because you just keep trying until you get it right – or find a better way.

Teddy Dlukulu is a senior software engineer with a career spanning over a decade in a range of industries from construction, gaming, visual effects and digital content creation. A thirst for knowledge, exploration and all things technological has given him the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from a wide variety of exceptional individuals in both small and large-scale projects.
Teddy’s fascination with resolving complex logistical problems began as a junior architect developing commercial construction projects in South Africa, but it was in digital modeling and fabrication that he found his stride and love for programming. This developed into a career as a game developer working with clients as big as Tabcorp and eventually specialising in digital asset management and proprietary software development for feature length animation such as The LEGO® Movie series, as well as managing digital content for vehicle manufacturers including Toyota.
Teddy has a love for creating order from chaos, and finding solutions at the point where art meets science. He prides himself on finding efficient, creative solutions for complex challenges.

Melissa has spent over 8 years working in eCommerce during this time she had quite a few varied roles; Buyer, Product Manager RedBalloon (e-commerce) and Product Owner, The Big Red Group (e-commerce), during her time at the Big Red Group she managed the tech workflow for 4 companies and 12 developers, this experience has to lead to genuinely understand how to run agile ceremonies with an online and local team. She is also well versed in prioritisation and always ensures that work of the highest value gets work on first and tries to help internal stakeholders with testing their ideas and ticket writing. During her time at RedBalloon, she had experience working with small business owners and expanding/improving their range based on online trends and also has experience working on projects to improve search engine optimisation.
Her previous experience has led her to be curious and understand the importance of asking the right questions.
Outside of work, she loves being outdoors in nature and is passionate about mental health and animal welfare.
Growth Marketing Lead

Breana Bunce is the Growth Marketing Lead at Fusion Labs. She ensures that new ventures are able to achieve scale by connecting data, insights and experiences in a way that accelerates customer acquisitions, boosts their lifetime value and reduces churn.
Breana has over 14 years experience in marketing, working across the built environment, FMCG, government and education. She believes sustainable scale comes from leveraging evidence-based approaches, rather than chasing down the latest tech trends.
Her experience spans from start-up to ASX100. She’s started numerous ventures, her latest has been in the built environment, achieving 2x growth during an industry downturn. She’s driven demonstrable results for top tier brands, on budgets ranging from $80m to $800. Her projects and teams have created many award winning campaigns, including a Cannes Lion (Cyber).
Breana sits on the management committee of DDDSydney, an NFP dedicated to increasing diversity in digital, and the Perisher Cup, Australia’s longest running snowsports race.
She’s currently completing a Masters of Marketing, teaching her toddler the joys of Cumbia and learning how to achieve a state of zen around orthographic errors on the internet.
Sr. Product Manager
Elizabeth (Liz) Wilson is a Senior Product Manager at Fusion Labs. She lays the foundations for new ventures with product strategy, effective ways of working and experimentation at pace.
Liz is a product leader with a technology background and over 15 years’ experience in product and digital. She loves solving real problems for users, crafting experiences that delight, and bringing products to life. Her experience spans tech, digital and product roles for some of Australia’s best known brands, including Qantas, Woolworths, Domain and Koala. She’s continually focussed on delivering business growth through innovation, and on building teams with high alignment and high autonomy.

Joel has been finding new directions for hardware for the last 7 years, mixing 3D printing, CNC machines and hand tools. He specialises in simplifying complex hardware innovation projects, linking together all components so it is easy to use, easy to deploy, and easy to maintain in the field.
When he’s not rethinking IOT for our FireTail robotics lab, he’s helping rural NSW leverage makerbots and occasionally plotting how to win his next state robotic-combat championship.
EA and Office Manager
Debbie is the glue that holds Fusion together, our chief organiser. She is EA to the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Fusion Labs. She also manages the Fusion Labs office across Finance, HR and facilities.
Debbie has over 15 years experience working in corporate organisations as a high level Executive Assistant to Chief Executive Officers, chairmen, board members and administration management. Debbie thrives on the dynamic, talented and fast paced environment of Fusion Labs and is extremely proud to be a member of the Fusion Labs family.
